About Us
We are Talib Bernard and Gilary Massa
We’re Talib and Gilary — a Jamaican-Canadian and a Panamanian — who took a big leap in August 2022 and moved our family of five from Toronto to Panama City. At the time, our kids were 7, 4, and just 8 months old.

Our motivation was simple but powerful: we wanted our children to experience a different world, learn a new language, and reconnect with their roots. We also wanted to leave behind the cold weather, the relentless rat race, and a social and political environment that was no longer serving us.

What we’ve gained along the way has been so much more — growth, clarity, community, and a deep understanding of what it really takes to start over in a new country.
